Tideway Sea Wall
A new wave wall and rock armour for a seafront town, built between the tides.
What we built
Rock armour at the toe, a new concrete wave wall, and a rebuilt promenade on top.
The hard part
The sea came in twice a day. Concrete could only go in while the tide was out.
How we did it
Each pour was planned to the tide table. The promenade was fenced in short lengths, so most of the seafront stayed open.
